Department of Civil Engineering
The Department of Civil Engineering started functioning from the year 2009 in the B.Tech programme with a permitted intake of 60 students. The M.Tech programme with Structural Design and Transportation Engineering specializations started functioning from the years 2013 and 2014 respectively, with 18 students each in these two specializations.
The Polytechnic programme in Civil (DCE) started in the year 2013 with 60 intake. The department is equipped with state-of-the-art laboratory facilities in the areas of Structural Engineering, Transportation Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Engineering Geology, Surveying, Hydraulics and Hydraulics Machinery. In addition, the department has simulation labs in Pavement Analysis and Design, Geographic Information Systems. The department is also equipped with an exclusive library in addition to the central library, with several volumes, titles including e-journals and print journals.
The department has highly qualified, experienced, and committed faculty for teaching, research, and consultancy works.
