The vision of the A.M Reddy Memorial College of Engineering and Technology (AMRMCET) is “ To impart quality education through exploration and experimentation and generate and generate social – conscious engineers, embedding ethics and values, for the advancement in science and technology “ is the thrust which every intern at all stages and operations reiterates and reflects.

The institute always endeavours to carve out the students as the best citizens of the nation, who are socially conscious and adept at proving effective solutions to societal and economic challenges by breaking the technological bottlenecks. The rationale of any promising education is to ultimately benefit society in all respects and the welfare of mankind.

AMRMCET, besides providing a wealth of knowledge on core competencies to the students, explores their life lessons to provide a true meaning and understanding of technological education. Every student is engraved with incessant impulses to serve the nation, which motivates them to set themselves as examples for posterity.

The institute has a tagline and service mantra of “Service to Society is Service to God” and always motivates the students to inculcate that throughout their life journey as an example to others.

Not limiting itself to words and lines, AMRMCET has always been a step ahead in donating the right stuff at the right time throughout several programmes initiated by the institute, state, and central government without any prejudice. To reckon a few institutional activities distinctive to its vision in terms of its charities done, services offered to the society are as below.

  • Frequently donating to the needy people in association with students and faculty for the welfare of the co-human beings whose lives are ruined by various natural disasters like floods, cyclones, accidents, Corona, etc., as happened in A.P.
  • Conducting several skill development workshops under the Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation (APSSDC) for the students, industrial employees, and faculty of various parts of the Palnadu district.
  • Conducting several training programmes for the school students across Narasaraopet to make the right tune and make them aware of their hidden talents to meet the global giants by providing the necessary state-of-the-art platform
  • Conducting life skills via YOGA classes for the students to reduce stress and anxiety to build confidence, improve sitting posture and flexibility, boost the digestive system, which in turn builds immunity and strength to fight against diseases, improve sleeping disorders, reduce weight, and overall provide healthy mental and physical composure to the students and faculty under the NSS Club of AMRMCET.
  • Conducting various activities and preparing students to contribute to the development of society, such as awareness programmes on the Swachha Bharath Mission, Cleaning of streets, drains, statues, cleaning of public parks, hospitals, bus stands, railway stations, etc.
  • Frequently organising blood donation camps, eye and other health check-up camps for the welfare and wellbeing of students, faculty, and also for village people in Chejarla to stay fit and perform well.
  • With a notion of environmental protection, an active mission on tree plantation, plastic ban, right utilisation of water and energy resources, etc. was being conducted institute-wide under the NSS and volunteers of AMRMCET.
  • AMRMCET, by its virtue, adapted three villages, such as Repudi, Nudurupadu, and Phigangipuram, wholeheartedly in its early years, organising all necessary activities and providing all needed amenities for those villagers.
  • Conducting several training programmes for the school students across Narasaraopet to make the right tune and make them aware of their hidden talents to meet the global giants by providing the necessary state-of-the-art platform.
  • Conducting social responsibility and technology awareness initiative programmes on a large scale by the students via NSS and other active social and professional societies.
  • AMRMCET “Balotsav” is meant to provide a platform for Telugu-speaking schoolchildren across the Narasaraopet to raise awareness of our ancient culture, tradition, and heritage through programmes and competitions.
  • Offering scholarships to help the needy students pursue graduation and motivating them to return to the same poverty and neediness that they come across in their lives.
  • Several services, like Maha Shivaratri is a Hindu festival celebrated annually in honour of the deity Shiva, usually in the month of February or March. For this, our students distribute blankets, medicines, food packets, drinking water for the pilgrims, etc., and also help the elderly and needy by providing services without any material help from the institution.
  • The students of the NSS unit and the NSS officer of AMRMCET got appreciation from the local bodies of the grama panchayat for their stupendous services rendered to society. Some of the services done by AMRMCET NSS include

  • Besides donating and serving, the institute also provided its infrastructural and intellectual resources and facilities for the key functioning and operations of the state government under various activities on campus
    • Pooled campus drives organised in and outside the campus by the APSSDC, but not limited to these companies such as Wipro, TCS, Infosys, Capgemini, Aditi Consultant Pvt Ltd, Tech Mahindra, Infinite Solutions, etc.
    • The IPR and Incubation Centre enhance the employability skills of engineering and polytechnic students by making them industry-ready through skill enhancement and training.
    • Learning through projects has been made an integral part of the curriculum for students to do micro, mini, innovative projects that give them a wider perspective on a certain topic and, in turn, help the students become self-entrepreneurs or pursue higher studies such as research, scholarship, etc.
    • Participative learning includes student seminars, guest lecturers, technical talks, seminars by industry experts, activities under MOUs, online courses under SWAYAM and NPTEL, workshops, certification courses, etc.
